Request account and data deletion

Send your request from your registered email address to support@sanctuarynotes.app. Include your Sanctuary ID if you have it. If you cannot access that inbox, explain this so support can discuss ownership verification.

Prepare deletion request email ↗

This opens your email app with a draft. Review it and press Send there. No request is sent just by clicking this button.

No email app opens? Copy the address above and use the subject Sanctuary account and data deletion request.

What happens after you send it

  1. Support checks that the request concerns your account. Your password is never needed.
  2. Support confirms the records covered, how deletion will be carried out and any retention that applies.
  3. You receive a response when the request has been processed, including any limits or information that must be retained.

Requests are handled by support. This page does not immediately delete your account, and a request is not complete until support confirms the outcome.

We will respond without undue delay and normally within one month of receiving your request. If a permitted extension is necessary because of complexity or the number of requests, we will explain it within that first month; the extension can be up to two further months. A response deadline is not a promise that every provider backup will have been erased by that date.

What to include in your request

An account-deletion request covers the sign-in account and associated personal data, including synced notes and files, identity/profile links, support diagnostics, Circle participation and contributions. Tell support if you want a narrower request, such as deletion of support information only.

Historical sync copies and recovery backups must also be considered. Deleting an entry in the app may not immediately erase every retained recovery copy.

Copies and retention

Files you exported, device backups and copies other people have already saved are outside the website’s direct control. Support can explain how to handle your own local copies after the account request is completed.

Some records may need to be retained for a specific legal or security reason. If this applies, support should identify the records, reason and retention period when responding. There is no automatic whole-account deletion schedule currently published for this testing service.

Before requesting deletion

Export anything you want to keep from the app first, where possible. Deletion can remove access to your online notes and files. Uninstalling the app or signing out does not by itself request deletion of the online account.
