Good to know

A few answers,
before you begin.

Is Sanctuary free?

Yes. Sanctuary is free, and always will be.

Can I write without an internet connection?

After setup, you can write reflections and save entries on your device without reception. Sign-in, Circle sharing, and content that has not been downloaded need a connection. Saved changes can sync when you reconnect and the account-sync service is available.

Check sync status before relying on another device having the latest copy, and export a backup before clearing app or browser data.

Is Sanctuary available now?

Sanctuary is available to Android Alpha testers and through the mobile web app on iPhone. Follow the tester guide for your device.

Can I use it on my computer?

Desktop is in a limited tester rollout. Approved accounts open the workspace after website login. Everyone else can continue using the Android app or their existing iPhone Home Screen installation.

Why do I need an account?

The updated app requires an email and password. Your account identifies you for sign-in, account recovery and sync. If you already use Sanctuary, register from that installation so your existing data can be linked.

Who can see my notes?

Your personal journal and dream notes are separate from Circle posts. Content you choose to share in a Circle is visible to its members. Account sync, when available, also stores personal records and attachments online. The service manages recovery keys, so we do not claim that synced content is inaccessible to Sanctuary’s operator. See Privacy & your data for access, providers, and the current sensitive-content consent limitations.

What happens to my existing notes?

Register or log in from the app or Home Screen shortcut that already contains your notes. This links your existing Sanctuary ID and local data to your account. Update that installation in place, and let setup and sync finish before continuing. If anything looks missing, keep the app installed and contact support.

Where can I share feedback?

Use Contact Sanctuary Support, email support@sanctuarynotes.app, or use the feedback option inside Sanctuary. Your observations help shape what we improve next.

Let’s keep growing.
