Your books. Your order. Your rhythm.

01 · Choose

Build your own book list.

Add one Bible book or several. Reorder your list so the books you want to read next are ready when you finish your current one.

02 · Make time

Choose the days that fit.

Select your reading days and how many chapters you want to read each day. Or choose a finish date and let Sanctuary calculate the chapters needed on your reading days.

03 · Adjust

Let your plan change with you.

Change your books, reading days, pace or finish date later. Pause when you need a break and resume when you are ready. Your recorded reading stays in your history.

04 · Return

See your next reading on Today.

Your reading-plan card shows the passages to read and your progress for the day. Move the card up or down in Customize so it is easy to find.

Read in the way that helps you reflect.

Use the Scripture reader in Sanctuary, or read from your paper Bible and record the chapters in Scripture Journey. The plan uses your logged chapter progress to work out what remains. You can keep a journal reflection alongside your reading.

Questions about custom Bible reading plans

Can I plan just one or two Bible books?

Yes. Choose the books you want to read and put them in your preferred order. Your plan can cover a small selection of books.

What happens if I miss a reading day?

The plan works from the chapters you have recorded. In pace mode, the estimated finish moves with the remaining reading. With a future finish date, the daily chapter target adjusts across your remaining reading days. You can choose a new date, change your pace or pause the plan.

Can I leave days free each week?

Yes. Choose the days you want to read. Other days are rest days, and you can still read ahead if you wish.

Can I change my plan after starting?

Yes. Edit the book list, book order, reading days, pace or finish date. Reading already recorded stays in your Scripture Journey history.

Is this the same as the website calculator?

The website calculator creates a printable schedule without an account. Reading plans inside Sanctuary are saved in the app and adjust to your recorded chapter progress. You can try the calculator below or get started with the app.

Are custom reading plans free?
