Read and record your passage

Open Scripture Journey, choose a Bible book and record a chapter or passage. You can include verse ranges when you read part of a chapter, and keep a personal reflection with the reading.

See progress through the Bible

Scripture Journey shows progress for individual books and larger collections, including the Old Testament and New Testament. Review your reading history to see what you recorded and return to the next part of your reading.

Try a small reading rhythm

Begin with one chapter that fits the time you have. After reading, write down a sentence that stood out and one question you want to return to. For example, read Psalm 23, record the chapter and save a reflection about the image of God as shepherd.

Prepare for reading offline

Sanctuary offers downloadable public-domain Bible editions in several languages. Download the edition you want while connected before you rely on offline reading. Availability and offline access vary by translation; check the Scripture and offline Bible settings in the app.

Questions about bible reading

Does rereading count as another whole chapter completed?

Your reading history can record another reading, while coverage progress tracks the passages you have covered without treating rereading as new Bible coverage.

Can I keep a reflection with my reading?

Yes. A logged reading can be copied to your private Journal with a personal reflection.
